Camping Gear

 

Our goal is for you to be able to get off the ferry or airplane, grab your rental vehicle from one of our fine vendors, pick up our comprehensive camping package...and GO.  We have prepared a light, simple per-person package with everything necessary for a comfortable stay at a rental cabin.  There are 18 visitor use cabins on our island, managed by the U.S. Forest Service.  We can help you choose the right one for your group, based on what you want to do/see.  Cabin reservation fee is only payable through recreation.gov., and is not included in package rental. Cabin reservations must be completed by traveler.  

We don't go cheap on our gear. 20 years in the outdoor industries has taught us the value of durable, quality gear. The items in our packages have been hand-picked and tested in the most rugged environments possible.

• Sleeping bag/pad combo (North Face, Therm-A-Rest)

• Dry bags (waterproof with a backpack harness)

• Propane cook stove

• Cooking kit suitable for a party of 4

• Headlamps

• Camp lantern

• Cooler

• Water purification system (Katadyn gravity-fed 10L)

• Other extras may be available

 

Partial outfit packages are available and we can deliver your reserved package to a central location in Craig or Klawock or further "up the road" at a cabin trail head if you desire.  Call or email for pricing details on individual gear items and / or delivery fees.
